I focused on the side of green beans where I rendered some cut up turkey bacon with diced onions in seasame oil and seasame seeds.
I used fresh green beans and blanched them in boiling water for about six minutes and sauteed in a frying pan on low heat with a tablespoon of Smart Balance “butter” and the cut bacon and diced onion that I had cooked earlier. Toss the mixture with sesame oil, sesame seeds and salt. Serve with your favorite protein and enjoy. We chose to have boiled potatoes and steak with ours, but the green beans were the star.
